Loving it at " The Lavington," Nairobi

Geographical Location Lavington is a suburb in Nairobi, located exactly 5km northwest of the City Center. The Famous Eastleigh (Isilii)

  Eastleigh  is a neighbourhood in  Nairobi ,  Kenya ’s capital . It is located east of the  central business district . For some, the spelling of the name is Isilii, an alteration sourced from the local pronunciation of the word. At the mention of the word Eastleigh, many are reminded of the businesses that are run in this neighbourhood. It is known for its business prowess, as well as "its poor infrastructure. Eastleigh, formally called Nairobi East Township was founded in 1921 and was mostly populated by Somalis who had moved from the Ngara Plains. While the colonial government originally tried to segregate citizens by race and ethnicity, Eastleigh was pointed to Asians and elite Africans who worked as clerks, builders or shoemakers. Eastleigh was originally a large  Kenyan Asian  enclave until independence in 1963. In recent years, the suburb has been dominated and almost exclusively inhabited by  Somali immigrants . kitengela Town

  Kitengela town is located in Kajiado County just 30 kilometres south of Nairobi. The town is part of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area. Kitengela has an urban population of about 30,000. Kitengela began as The Kitengela group ranch, made up of 18,292 ha and 214 registered members which were subdivided in 1988 in efforts by the Government to encourage private land ownership in pastoral systems, to intensify and commercialize livestock production. After the subdivision of the group ranch, land fragmentation and sales have continued at a steady and escalating pace. Kitengela is close to Athi River town in Machakos County in the former Eastern Province, while Kitengela belongs to Kajiado County in the former Rift Valley Province. Kitengela is growing quickly and is expanding with residential houses. Umoja Estate - Ummo.

Geographical location  Umo as popularly referred to, Umoja is an estate Located within the Embakasi Constituency. Umo was built by the Nairobi City Commission in the 1970s mainly to provide housing for the growing urban population. Onn the present day, Umoja Estate has grown to be one of Nairobi’s densely populated residential areas.  Housing Houses within Umoja Estate, or, of a standard four-bedroom bungalow design and four-story apartments in various courts. The average asking rental price is about Sh20, 000 per month for the standalone houses. Fedha Estate Location Fedha Estate is one of the fast growing hoods along Outering Road viewed by residents of neighbouring estates as one housing the better off members of the society. Fedha is sometimes referred to as part of Tassia but has slowly evolved to have an identity of its own. Other hoods around here that also rise above, in status, the neighbouring “high rise slum” Pipeline and Mukuru are Tassia and Avenue Park estates, all closely hurdled together almost imitating human beings of a certain social class drawn together by bonds of shared wealth and common interests. Buruburu

  In the early ’80s, Buru Buru was an enviable middle-class estate in Nairobi, where many people wished to live, and those already living there were proud to be associated with. LOCATION Located in the midst of the ever-growing Eastland’s, Buru Buru gradually started going the way of most estates in the populous area, with haphazardly built extensions coming up every year. This also saw the once beautiful flower hedges replaced with concrete walls. Built in the ’70s and ’80s, the estate was designed as a middle-income Commonwealth estate whose design was meant to be replicated in other Commonwealth countries in Africa. It was mostly inhabited by business people, government officials, professionals and a few expatriates on short-term assignments in the country.  The estate was characterized by beautifully lined white maisonettes with orange brick tiles housed in sizable compounds designed in courts, with each compound having a low, neatly trimmed hedge. It was clean, serene and secure.
